When I was a little girl, I always remember feeling a great deal of empathy for others. As I learned more and more about the healing power of prayer, I turned to God to solve problems for me, my family and friends. It was during one of these precious moments as I was praying for a friend, that God spoke to my heart and told me I was going to adopt a little girl from another country. A little startled that such a clear message was delivered unto me I thought: “I am going to do what, Lord? How can I adopt a child? I am single and don’t know if I can do it alone.” The idea was filled with excitement and fear. God is faithful to his words. After much prayer and persistence, I received this beautiful gift from God. A little girl born half a world away was to become my daughter to nurture and love.
God knew I needed someone with whom to share my joy and laughter, and He had a plan. Romans 8:28 (NASB)”And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”

While I worked as a Realtor, I pursued the adoption agencies. The journey of adoption has many challenges. Many times I did cry and wonder if I had heard God’s message correctly. I couldn’t believe all the requirements, applications and documents that were needed.

When I thought I wasn’t ever going to get the paper work done, a friend was placed in my path who willingly assisted me. Then my mom took over the paper work which seemed overwhelming. Her presence at that moment was such an encouragement. She was my support and coach throughout all the adoption process. There were many challenges but progress was made. “Nothing will be impossible for God.” (Luke 1:37 NASB) God always supplied the solutions. Sitting quietly on my couch in the evening with my cats, I’d imagine myself reading to or hugging my little girl and acknowledging God’s guidance. The journey of adoption is unique. You will experience emotions you never expected. I am here to reassure you that you don’t need to accomplish this on your own. God placed people in my life when I needed them so this desire could be fulfilled. I would like to be there for you as you take this adventure. As a Certified Christian Life Coach, I have chosen to share my understanding and love using my professional skills. God has planted the desire for me to walk alongside YOU during the Adoption Process and assist you through this experience.
